The Emissary-Educator-Playmate – Oracle (EEPO) Framework is a groundbreaking Love Lab innovation at the intersection of child development, AI and immersive technology. Developed through interdisciplinary research and child-centred design, EEPO reimagines how technology can support, not replace, human connection, Love, and co-regulation in children’s lives.
Rooted in neuroscience, attachment theory, and systems thinking, the EEPO framework introduces four relational roles that technology can playing a child’s world:

- The Emissary (structure and safety)
- The Educator (learning and growth)
- The Playmate (play and discovery)
- The Oracle (wisdom and perspective)
Together, these roles scaffold children’s social-emotional development while preserving the primacy of human relationships.
EEPO is not about replacing parenting, it is about augmenting the relational space between children and caregivers with ethical, emotionally attuned technologies. From AI companions to XR storytelling environments, EEPO offers a blueprint for designing child-centred systems that prioritize safety, trust, empathy and developmental integrity.
As an early proof of concept, the Love Lab’s EEPO prototype explores how conversational agents and smart environments can act as growth companions, co-creating love-informed experiences that empower both children and parents.
This is more than a framework, it is a vision for the future of humanity, seen through the eyes of a child.
