About The Love Model

The Love Model reimagines how we live, learn, and lead through the science of human connection.

It brings together research, design and heart to transform education, leadership and technology into systems that nurture what makes us most human: our capacity to love, play and create.

The Love Model

The Love Model is an ecosystem for reimagining how we learn, lead and live through Love.

At its heart is a simple yet powerful truth: Love is not just an emotion, it’s a neurobiological process that builds safety, trust and authentic connection.

The Love Model is rooted in the understanding that Love is neurorelational, it lives in the nervous system and flows through relationships. When we feel safe, seen and supported, our brains open to learning, creativity and connection. This is how Love literally shapes the mind and body for human thriving.

To be Love-Informed means recognizing love as both a biological and relational force that wires our capacity for empathy, resilience and joy. By applying this science of Love across education, technology and leadership, The Love Model reimagines how we live, learn and lead, creating systems that heal, innovate and help humanity flourish.

From this foundation, The Love Model Inc. was born, a global hub for innovation, research and education that bridges science, systems and the soul of humanity.

Our Vision

We envision a world where Love informs every system, education, technology, leadership and human development.

Through our interdisciplinary ecosystem, including the Love Lab: Child Futures Innovation PlaySpace, Love Lab Press, PrivyGuard and The Consentaverse, we are pioneering Love-Informed Futures, integrating neuroscience, attachment, and design to create environments where children and adults thrive.

What Does It Mean to Be Love-Informed?

To be Love-Informed is to design, teach and lead from the understanding that safety, connection and belonging are the foundations for learning and growth.

Rooted in neuroscience and attachment theory, a Love-Informed approach prioritizes the nervous system, recognizing that Love activates the parasympathic system, fostering calm, trust and openness.

It invites empathy over fear, co-regulation over control and presence over performance.

When systems become Love-Informed, they move beyond trauma response into transformation, cultivating creativity, resilience and joy.

What We Do

The Love Model ecosystem offers research, education and innovation grounded in compassion and human connection:

The Love Model Framework: Transformational models like The Neurorelational Love Model, The Love Loop, and The Playful Love Mindset, applied across education, leadership and technology.

The Love Lab: An Innovation hub for research and applied design shaping child-centred, ethical technologies and learning systems.

  • PrivyGuard – a Love Lab innovation that transforms complex terms of service and privacy policies into accessible, child-friendly language. Designed as a GPT-based guide, PrivyGuard helps children and families understand digital consent, supporting informed decision-making and emotional safety online.
  • This work directly informs The Consentaverse, a love-informed curriculum teaching digital wisdom, safety and connection for children and educators.

Speaking, Training and Consulting: Keynotes, courses and leadership programs that help individuals, schools and organizations embody Love as a foundation for trust, creativity and belonging.

About the Founder

Dr. Nikki Martyn is the founder of The Love Model Inc and the creator of the Neurorelational Love Model and the Love Loop, groundbreaking frameworks that integrate neuroscience, attachment theory and systems design to reimagine how we live, learn and lead through love.

She holds a doctorate in child psychology and early childhood education with post-doctoral training in infant, child and adolescent mental health. A recognized expert in child development, relational neuroscience and leadership, Nikki has worked clinically with children and families, taught nationally in the Infant Mental Health Certificate Program at York University, and mentored hundreds of educators and interdisciplinary professionals.

As the co-founding director of Mindwerx4kids, a therapeutic early learning centre and school, she pioneered love-informed, trauma-sensitive approaches grounded in relational neuroscience, models that continue to influence her work across education and technology.

Nikki bridges science and soul to build emotionally safe systems that support human flourishing, blending cutting-edge research with heart-centred innovation to offer new pathways for parenting, education and leadership in a rapidly changing world.

As the force behind The Love Lab: Child Futures Innovation PLAYspace, The Consentaverse, and PrivyGuard, she is pioneering a global movement to embed the science of love into the future of childhood and digital life.

Nikki believes that Love is not only how we heal, it is how we innovate, connect, and transform the world.
